How to use the Floor Plan Mapper API to upload employee profile photos

The powerful Floor Plan Mapper API can be used to bulk upload employee profile photos into Floor Plan Mapper. This eliminates the need to manually add photos to each employee via the user interface.

Steps to bulk upload profile photos into Floor Plan Mapper

1. In order to bulk upload photos into Floor Plan Mapper, place all photos in one folder.
2. Use the employee report tool in Floor Plan Mapper to export a list of all employees.
   
3. Rename photo names to match the employee ID number exported from the Floor Plan Mapper employee report. Create a CSV listing employeeID and matching image file name.
   
4. Edit the FPM_Get_Token.ps Powershell script with the active Floor Plan Mapper workspace details. Update the workspace name (replace “your-workspace-name-here” with the current workspace) and update the Floor Plan Mapper user account email and password (FloorPlanMapperAccountLoginEmail and “FloorPlanMapperAccountLoginPassword).

5. Execute the PowerShell script. This will generate a token which is required to connect to Floor Plan Mapper using the Floor Plan Mapper API.
   
6. Copy the token created when the PowerShell script was executed.
7. Edit the upload_avatars_from_csv_withUI.py Pyhton file. Update the API token (API_TOKEN = ‘tokenfromPoweShellScript’ # Your authentication token) with token created by the previous Powershell script.
8. Launch the upload_avatars_from_csv_withUI.py with Python
   
9. Browse to the CSV file containing the employeeID and image name reference. Ensure all the photos are in the same folder as the Python script.
   

Photos begin uploading immediately.
