Floor Plan Mapper Release Notes – Winter 2025/2026

Over the Winter we’ve been busy adding new features, fixing bugs, and improving performance and security. Several improvements were implemented in Floor Plan Mapper aimed at enhancing map usability, administrative flexibility, and integration stability.

Below are the key updates.

1. Persistent Display Labels

Display Labels can now be enabled at the Space level through the Settings section.

General Settings

When this setting is activated:

  • Labels are displayed automatically when the map is opened
  • The setting applies to all entity types including custom icons
  • Users can temporarily disable labels via the top menu
  • After page reload, labels will be enabled again

By default, this option is disabled. It is available to users with the appropriate permissions (typically administrators).

This ensures a consistent map display standard without requiring users to re-enable labels after refreshing the page.

2. Map Icon Size Configuration

New parameters have been added in the Settings section to allow flexible control over icon size on the map.

General Settings

An administrator can:

  • Enable or disable icon zoom scaling
  • Set the icon scaling factor

This setting helps reduce visual overlap of objects in high-density layouts and improves overall map readability.

3. Improved SCIM Integration Stability

The SCIM integration logic has been updated to improve predictability and administrative convenience.

When SCIM integration is disabled and then re-enabled, the authorization token is now preserved and is not regenerated. This eliminates the need to manually update the token in the SCIM provider settings (for example, Microsoft Entra) and reduces the risk of synchronization issues.

4. Employee Photo Upload with Active SCIM Integration

When SCIM integration is active, employee core data continues to be centrally managed through the external source.

Additionally, it is now possible to upload and update employee photos directly in Floor Plan Mapper even when SCIM integration is enabled.

This improves the usability of the map while maintaining centralized user data management.

5. Improved Notes Display in Entity Cards

Automatic line wrapping has been implemented in the Notes section of entity cards. Long messages are now displayed in full and are easier to read.

6. Desk Booking Notifications

A new Audit tab has been added to the Settings section, allowing administrators to configure email notifications for desk booking activity.

Audit Settings

To enable notifications:

  • Enable the Enable audit notifications checkbox
  • Enter an email address in the Notification email field
  • Verify the email address using the verification code sent to the specified email

Once the email address is verified, notifications will be sent for:

  • New desk bookings
  • Booking updates
  • Booking cancellations

If the Notification email field is cleared, the stored email address will be reset and the verification process must be completed again.

If the email address has already been verified and the Enable audit notifications checkbox is disabled and later enabled again, the verified email address remains valid and does not require re-verification.
