Floor Plan Mapper Release Notes – Spring 2026

For the Spring 2026 Floor Plan Mapper release, several improvements were implemented in Floor Plan Mapper aimed at enhancing map usability, administrative flexibility, and integration stability.

Below are the key updates.

1. Desk Booking Confirmation

Floor Plan Mapper now supports confirmation of temporary desk bookings. This feature helps organizations make more efficient use of office space by releasing desks that are no longer needed.

Previously, employees could reserve a desk in advance but fail to show up. As a result, desks remained unavailable for other employees even though they were not actually being used.

Booking Confirmation Settings

To address this, a new Booking confirmation emails option has been added to the General Settings section. When enabled, the system automatically sends employees an email asking them to confirm or decline their upcoming temporary desk booking.

By default, the confirmation email is sent 24 hours before the booking start time. This interval is configurable and can be adjusted to meet your organization’s requirements.

Employees can confirm or decline their booking directly from the email, helping to release unused desks in a timely manner and improve workspace availability for other employees.

2. Maximum Advance Booking Period

A new Max desk booking days (0 = unlimited) setting has been added to the General Settings section, giving administrators greater control over how far in advance employees can create temporary desk bookings.

Max Desk Booking Settings

By default, the maximum advance booking period is set to 30 days, but this value can be adjusted to meet your organization’s booking policies.

Setting the value to 0 removes the restriction, allowing employees to create bookings without any limit on the advance booking period.

This feature helps organizations better manage workspace availability while providing the flexibility to configure booking rules according to their business needs.

3. Platform Security, Stability, and Monitoring Improvements

In Q2 2026, we made a number of improvements focused on the overall health, security, and reliability of the Floor Plan Mapper platform. These changes operate behind the scenes and do not affect day-to-day workflows, but they contribute to a more stable and secure environment for your organization.

Security — We made several improvements to strengthen account protection, access control, and infrastructure security across the platform.

Stability — The application’s internal caching infrastructure was upgraded to a more robust solution, improving performance and reliability — especially in environments running multiple servers. This helps ensure consistent behavior and faster response times under load.

Monitoring & Diagnostics — We improved the way the platform records and reports internal events, making it significantly easier to detect, diagnose, and resolve issues. This translates directly to faster response times from our support team when problems arise.
